1. Position Title: Program Officer E – Learning 


2. Reports to: Chief of Party/Deputy Chief of Party 

3. Overall Role:

The Program Officer – E-Learning will be responsible for developing the web contents covering all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, the post holder will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new developments. The Program Officer will ensure crafting site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns. The post holder will work closely with Subject Specialists, Communication & Program teams. The ideal candidate will also have experience of managing online communications and outreach campaigns. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Candidates for this position will require proven web content management experience. 


4. Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and manage content for organization’s web presence (requires working with content management software )
  • Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties and contents
  • Working with a cross-departmental team and subject specialists, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web contents
  • Copy edit and proofread all web content
  • Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs and events
  • Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference. Track and report inconsistencies and further areas of improvement.
  • Assure web content is user-friendly and reviewed for SEO benefit.
  • Conceptualize content for the website while catering to the needs of basic local organization users to national and international level users.
  • Work with IT on content related enhancements and requirements.
  • Work with senior leadership and/or development teams to prioritize needs, develop criteria, and/or select solutions.
  • Conduct research and interviews to collect material for company’s website. Write and post content online; maintain web pages and blog(s).
  • Contribute to/update social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Monitor social media outlets and respond on topics related to company/industry/products.
  • Responsible for development of E-Learning Material including but not limited to learning visuals and simulations.
  • Managing Learning Forums, Webinars and Discussion Forums.
  • Capable of generating analytical reports for traffic tracking and usage of resources from ASP-AiD Website.
  • Help, plan and implement social marketing campaigns for specific marketing goals.
  • Keep up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends. Also with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs and events.
  • Participate in pre-launch testing and validation as related to content.
  • Create forum postings and press releases on web site
  • Assist in content creation & publishing of company newsletters (internal or external).
  • Any other tasks assigned by the ASP Management.

5. Education:

Master’s degree in Management Sciences, NGO Management and or a related field 


6. Experience and Core Competencies:

  • 3-5 years experience of managing content and production for high traffic websites with a flair for writing in different styles, both digital and print.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • An understanding of Search Engine Optimization techniques and style to help drive web traffic to our website.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated to establish and achieve goals.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management software. Solid proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Senior M&E Officer Job at Asia Foundation Islamabad

Vacancy:  (1 Position)

Salary Range: PKR 130,000 to 175,000 pm + Benefits


Responsibilities: 

  • Overall supervision of the design, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all assigned projects and grants
  • Assist the Team Manager in the establishment of an effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system and coordinate the M&E activities.
  • Assist in selecting the indicators for the monitoring and evaluation of implementation progress, outputs and outcomes of the project;
  • Assist in surveys, studies, and assessments;
  • Assist in developing guidelines, tools and reporting forms for monitoring of project implementation;
  •  Assist in strengthening capacity of partners and sub-grantees in area of M&E activities;
  • Provide support in applying the M&E guidelines and tools and in preparing progress donor reports;
  • Coordinate and participate in the regular and field visits as well as prepare feedback reports with conclusions and recommendations;
  • Maintain a digital archiving system of all data and information related to M&E activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate field trips.
  • Communicates and liaises closely and frequently with donor community, project partners, International NGO community, government agencies and officials, media and academia, including representing TAF projects at various events and meetings

Qualification Required:

  • Masters degree in relevant discipline/social sciences or equivalent
  • Experience Required:
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible M&E experience, including development of M&E frameworks. Deep familiarity with development issues in Pakistan.  
  • Computer skills required: Good command of MS Office

Other preferences:

  • Ability to undertake frequent field visits throughout selected districts.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Urdu
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, ability to manage, read and analyze large data sets.

Liaison Officer Job In Peshawar

General Functions
Under the overall supervision of the Program Manager and under the directions received from the Team Leader the Liaison Officer will directly report to the Deputy Team Leader – Support in Peshawar. The Liaison Officer will be responsible for developing and implementation of Agriculture related Economic Support activities in Peshawar area. The incumbent will also guide the field team in developing and disseminating best practices present in the area, primarily consisting of agriculture, livestock and service delivery activities. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in program coordination with the FATA Secretariat, FDMA, PDMA, PaRRSA and other government departments, Commissioner Peshawar particularly to ensure government support of Program activities in the field and that the Program is effectively used by the FATA Secretariat as a response mechanism;
  • Make recommendations on ways to better establish the program, to strengthen government counterparts and to improve the linkages between tribal communities and the government of Pakistan;
  • Liaise with governmental counterparts to further strengthen ties between the program and the government of Pakistan;
  • Prepare presentations and material for staff and community members; share information to the project staff, community members and other stakeholders that will enhance the relationship between the program and other stakeholders;
  • Represent the program in regional meetings as and when requested by the main office;
  • Ensure that lesson learned are documented and disseminated throughout the program offices.
  • Maintain records in accordance with program standards; prepare and submit reports on regular basis;
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Provide strategic input to the integration of Program activities into government structures at the Peshawar level and other areas where the program operates;
  • Develop understanding of issues and acquaintance with government agencies, NGOs, program and individuals involved in areas where the program is active;
  • Conduct visits to sub-offices as required to provide strategic guidance and support at the sub-office level
Qualification and Experience
  • Should be Graduate or equivalent with 5 years relevant work experience in public relations and/or government liaison activities. 
  • Should have knowledge and field experience in development sector. Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
Languages
  • Thorough knowledge of English; working knowledge of Pashtu, or other languages spoken in the region will be an advantage

JOB PURPOSE:
Primary responsibilities of Training Coordinator are to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of training events and special programs/projects organized by ASF. This involves marketing, planning and execution of regular training programs as well as assistance in planning for and facilitating short, one-time trainings or other training programs initiated throughout the year. Responsibilities include presenter and participant outreach and logistics, as well as coordinating with clients on event details. The position also involves creation of training materials such as case studies, PowerPoint presentations, worksheet handouts, etc. and may also include writing of newsletters and other materials as required by each training and other programs/projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Coordinate course registrations/enrolments, provision of information to secure enrolments and facilitating the delivery of courses/workshops organized by Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF).
  • Assist Head, BSS in developing business and marketing plan for training, workshops and other events
  • Support the implementation of the annual business and marketing plan
  • Keep Head, BSS updated on status of assigned training and projects
  • Support the coordination of all training activities
  • Co-ordinate training resources and manage these resources within budget allocations
  • Ensure assessment records are held on file
  • Monitor and support reporting on the progress and outcomes of the training operation
  • Implement promotional strategies to secure additional enrolments
  • Maintain trainer/facilitators files and to ensure that all contracted trainers/facilitators hold the required qualifications and professional industry competency prior to any appointment to deliver a training course/workshop/service on behalf of ASF
  • Maintain and review (at least annually) training partnerships/agreements to generate income and deliver training opportunities and maintain a register of such agreements
  • Issue certificates to the training /workshop participants
  • Recruit, select, induct and manage trainers/facilitators for training/workshops etc.
  • Prepare course schedules/calendars and co-ordinate the delivery of these training courses/workshops whilst maintaining the appropriate reporting systems
  • Co-ordinate trainers/facilitators, room/venue hire and catering requirements to meet training course schedules
  • Co-ordinate advertising and promotional materials (including registration/enrollment forms)
  • Manage direct supervision assessment responsibilities and records where trainers do not hold appropriate qualifications for training course/workshop being delivered
  • Collect and assess course feedback (evaluations and trainer/assessor feedback) and ensure this feedback is analyzed and appropriate actions or responses are developed for consideration and/or implementation
  • Maintain course and Participants files
  • Administrative duties (including data entry, invoicing and banking) where required
  • Work cooperatively with other staff and business units to achieve organizational objectives
  • Maintain high standard work practices and ensure integrity, respect and confidentiality
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Respond and refer enquiries from members and the general public (as appropriate)
  • Utilize and learn software and technology as required
  • Maintain database of training/workshops
  • Prepare procurement Requisition for training and other events.
  • Submit expense reimbursement forms as appropriate.
  • Create timelines and work plans for each event, as directed by the Head BSS.
  • Create and organize training materials including participant binders and handouts, name tags, etc. Also developing marketing materials for events as appropriate.
  • Keep ASF Web sites for individual programs updated with latest training materials.
  • Compile final reports for training programs.
  • Manage and update electronic curriculum library as new trainings are created or old ones updated and improved.
  • Manage and update database of experts/ trainers, Participants and Client Organizations
  • Answer and respond to outside communications, such as phone calls, faxes, emails, and web-based inquiries. This includes on-going communications, project-based communications, i.e., from training participants, presenters and clients.
  • Networking and ability to promote ASF as appropriate in the context of trainings and conferences/ service provider.
  • Hold opening and closing ceremonies of trainings independently
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned by Head, BSS
Qualifications
This position requires initiative, motivation, creativity and ability to understand many areas of expertise. Qualification, knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job are:
  • A Master degree in English/Business Administration/Communication Studies
  • At least 3 years of experience of training coordination
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Urdu are necessary to produce and deliver quality training programs.
  • Communication skills in one of the regional languages would be an added advantage
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Knowledge of computer applications i.e. Windows, Power Point, Word and Excel required.
  • The knowledge of legal documents and contracts/Partnerships will be preferred.
  • Experience in event management or logistics preferred.
  • Leadership skills to effectively direct trainees/Participants while in a training class environment and ability to properly evaluate comprehension and application of subject material.
  • The training area is one of constant change. This position must be able to react positively to these developments and help lead the way forward to include new developments in training targeted to both new and existing clients.

Job Description:
  • Oversee strategic program development and implementation to meet program objectives.  Responsible for the entire portfolio of grants. 
  • Ensure proper organization and donor priorities are met and policies, procedures and regulations are followed.
  • Manage Program Development and Grant offices to ensure strong adherence to internal systems and timely administration and implementation of grant activities.
  • Serve as part of the Senior Management Team and liaise closely with Senior Engineering, Procurement and Finance staff to ensure smooth organization of all grant operations.
  • Cultivate opportunities for grant making and liaise with grantees as required. Visit grantees for site visits, pre-award capacity building, monitoring, and/or participation in events as required.
  • Oversee the review and evaluation of grant proposals and grant closings.
  • Review all grant related documents to ensure they include all relevant information and comply with organization and donor approved processes and regulations. 
  • Closely review donor reports to ensure they capture all aspects and fulfill the goals and objectives of the program.
  • Ensure timely completion of all grants within donor approved time frames.  Manage weekly inter-departmental coordination meetings on grant implementation. 
  • Provide policy guidance and follow up training to ensure grant management policies are closely followed as per organization and donor standards and regulations.  Regularly spot check grantee documentation to ensure audit-ready compliance.
  • Work closely with Senior Management Team members to analyze budgeting and procurement estimates for grant implementation.
  • Work closely with DCOP, Finance, and Program staff to review expenditure of grant funds
  • Assist in monitoring of grants and building monitoring systems to ensure quality implementation, reporting, and impact.
  • Guide overall political analysis, impact assessment, and strategy development to advance program goals.  Specifically, contribute to work plan creation and implementation. 
  • Other necessary tasks to ensure proper program implementation and project success.
