REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Degree in Economics, Business Studies, Accounting or Political Science, or previous experience as project administrator (minimum 1 year) Good organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work cooperatively Willingness to undertake a qualifying experience in the development cooperation sector, and to capitalize on it Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken)

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
Preferred Master's degree in the above-mentioned studies Previous work experience with NGOs Experience/knowledge of main Donors (ECHO, UE, Italian cooperations, SDC, OFDA) administrative and procurement procedures Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, accounting softwares

WORK CONTEXT
Cesvi started its operations in the Country after the 2005 earthquake implementing development and emergency projects.The core sector is emergency response (shelters, WASH, food support) to the population affected by the flood. Environment, business and rural development projects are currently active.

Cesvi is working in several areas (KPK, Sindh, SWAT region) and has a Country Coordination Office in Islamabad. Main donors are: ECHO, FAO, Italian Cooperation, SDC, OFDA. In this framework Cesvi is looking for a Junior Administrator to support the Country Administrative Office in project accounting, procedures and purchase, budget analysis and costs allocations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • The collaboration will start in October 2013.
  • The main duty station will be the Country Office in Islamabad.
Main tasks:
  • S/He will give support to the Country Administrator and Project Managers for administrative issues: accounting, budgeting, procurement, financial reporting and monitoring, according to CESVI and Donors procedures.
  • S/He will support and side the Local Administrators for activities related to accounting, procurement and financial reporting to the Donors
  • S/He will ensure the order of all the projects documentation (procedures, contracts, invoice, etc.),
  • S/He will involve in support the management of the national staff, with a focus on contracts, taxation, staff list, HR database, etc..
  • S/He will liaise with Country Administrator on administrative and financial issues, ensuring an  adequate reporting to the Country Administrator, as regard to the management/control of financial flows of the various projects, constantly monitoring expenses and cash flow (final balance and budget analysis).
  • S/He will perform other duties if requested by the Country Administrator.
  • S/He should be involved in project proposal definition
The Administrator will work under the direct supervision of CESVI Country Administrator and Coordination Team.
S/He will respond to the Country Administrator and to the HQs Desk Officer.

Job Description: 
  • Manage all going projects, programs and concerns professionally and effectively

Qualification & Job Specification: 
  • Master’s degree in Finance/Economics/Business Administration from HEC recognized well reputed university

  • Possess knowledge in presentation designing and preparation software
  • Demonstrate good oral and written communications skills and lead or contribute effectively to briefing, presentations, correspondence, inquiries etc.
  • Organize their own time effectively and are able to prioritize according to changing demand
  • Demonstrate openness to new ideas and change, and look for improvements to ways of working
  • Willingness to Travel: The position requires extensive traveling throughout the country including remote rural areas
Required Experience: 
  • At least 2 years of work experience in financial services. Experience in Microfinance will be preferred.
  • Ability to perform successfully as a member of multiple project-related teams
  • Possess knowledge of Microfinance along with some experience of developing value chains

1.  Programme Officer

Qualification and Experience:  

Master Degree or equivalent in social sciences or related with minimum 3 years’ experience in programme management, programme design and formulation is required. Familiarity and knowledge of working with the Humanitarian Community, UN agencies, donors, NGOs and other players in the sector and possessing knowledge and experience of participatory project management approaches


2.  MEAL Officer

Qualification and Experience:  

Master Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics or related field with Minimum 3 years’ experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in humanitarian and development projects , Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports, Proven ICT skills, especially SPSS and other software. Familiarity and knowledge of working with the Humanitarian Community, UN agencies, donors, NGOs and other players in the sector and possessing knowledge and experience of participatory project management approaches

Job description
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss based international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 670 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are women and children.

COUNTRY MANAGER, PAKISTAN (Islamabad)
Responsibilities:
  • To represent GAIN's interests at country level for Pakistan-specific programming and Afghanistan as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of GAIN's country level nutrition strategy, and the identification of GAIN's niche in country, building relationships with key stakeholders including within government institutions, the donor community, NGOs and the private sector.
  • Responsible for identifying concrete opportunities for GAIN's engagement in country, in line with GAINs global strategy and comparative advantage.
  • Responsible for resource mobilization efforts in-country for the continuation and expansion of project activities.
  • To lead and manages all aspects of GAIN's Pakistan Country Office, including program design and proposal development; program implementation; reporting; fiscal planning, and human resource planning.
  • To provide oversight to GAIN's local implementing partners.
  • To contributes to the development of a knowledge base on GAIN's portfolio, Pakistan specifically, and on national and regional trends in nutrition and related issues that might impact on GAIN programming.
  • To contribute expertise as required to teams created by GAIN to address specific issues at regional or global levels.
Experience
  • At least fifteen years' experience in developing and managing projects in a multi-cultural environment, preferably at international level in the private sector, food industry, government or international organizations.
  • Experience in delivering nutrition or food fortification programs or other public health programs in the region is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and matrix structure is critical.
  • Experience building and leading teams in a startup environment.
  • Proven track record in resource mobilization / business development.
  • Experience of working in Pakistan is highly desirable.

Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent management, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to operate within the corporate and public sectors to effectively liaise with private companies, development agencies, and governments in different cultures.
  • Ability to use initiative, prioritize, multi-task, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates good judgment, expert problem solving, and creativity.
  • Strong communication skills in multicultural, multi-lingual environments.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural team.

  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in local languages desirable, but not essential.
Education
  • Master's Degree in food science, nutrition, public health, economics, business administration, or a suitable equivalent.
Other requirements
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally.
