- University degree preferably in social sciences and/ or disaster management (DM) studies
- At least five years of related experience in DM Preparedness & Response/Risk Reduction
- Fluent in written and spoken English, Urdu and Pashto
- Very good analytical and writing skills as well as communication & presentation skills
- Very good computer skills, considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Good knowledge of contextual vulnerabilities to natural disasters and other emergencies;
- Team leadership skills
- Motivation and true interest to develop Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) capacity in disaster management
- Responsible for managing the capacity building of the PRCS Disaster Management programme, supported by the ICRC
- Be the DM focal person for the department and the ICRC Delegation for matters relating DM
- Builds positive and healthy working relationship with thePRCS, and maintains regular contacts with the DM counterparts in PRCS, Federation (IFRC), Participating National Societies (PNS), and other national and international organisations
- Participates in Planning for Results and budget elaboration and monitor its implementation.
- Contributes to the achievement of Cooperation department's overall objectives by providing support to the Head of Department whenever required for different departmental tasks.
