Position:              Enterprise Liaison Officer             

Location:             Karachi (with frequent travel to Thatta, part time)

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rapid market assessment
  • Develop linkages of skilled artisan’s in Thatta with the Karachi market
  • Explore, facilitate and mature orders for women’s artisans
  • Communicate to artisan’s market demands, dynamics
  • Act as a liaison between women artisan’s and buyers
  • Develop record keeping logs for women’s products (e.g. costing, time needed to produce particular products, etc.)
  • Facilitate women in meetings with buyers and exposure visits
  • Facilitate in providing product finishing trainings at the field level
  • Explore online marketing tools
  • Monitoring and analyzing market trends and communicate information to women artisans
  • Exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability
  • Participate in project related meetings/trainings/workshops etc.
  • Submit reports on weekly/monthly basis as per project needs

Skills Required:

  • For the post of Enterprise Liaison Officer a degree from university and at least 3-4 years’ practical experience in business and enterprise development or small- to medium-scale enterprises
  • Have knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts
  • Familiar with Karachi Market and has linkages with designers/outlets, market traders etc
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Familiar with local tradition and culture
  • Flexible, committed and dedicated.
  • Good English & Urdu are essential. Sindhi is an asset.
  • The Enterprise Liaison Officer must be tolerant and sensitive to needs of religious and ethnic minorities, women and the poor.
  • In the absence of the supervisors, the Enterprise Liaison Officer must have the confidence, initiative, patience and integrity to work independently.
  • The Enterprise Liaison Officer is required to follow Organization Accountability Framework and its commitment to the Codes of Conduct practiced by the organization. The Enterprise Liaison Officer will ensure his/her commitment to the organization mission and values and for working in accordance to his/her job expectations

Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POST
Under the general supervision of the Communication for Development Specialist, responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a behavior change and social mobilization strategy in support of the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) and immunization objectives in Balochistan. Particular focus will be on ensuring that all high risk Districts and Union Councils have communications plans in place which are based on the available epidemiological/surveillance data, campaign results and other data.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the guidance of C4D Specialist works in close collaboration with UNICEF, government, WHO immunization and other partner counterparts to support the development and facilitate the implementation of evidence driven communication plans of action aiming at: (a) behaviour development/change at the individual/household levels; (b) social mobilization of civil society organizations; and (c) increased community participation in PEI programmes.
Support the C4D Specialist in the development of the overall work plan for PEI activities, monitors compliance and provides support and guidance to ensure objectives are met. This includes performance planning, monitoring and appraisal.
Provides technical support to COMNet staff in high risk Districts, to ensure communications strategies are in place in the high risk Districts and Union Councils. Plans must address the appropriate challenges based on the analysis of campaign and surveillance data in Balochistan.
Develops partnerships with individuals, groups and organizations whose support is essential to ensuring support for high risk groups of PEI, particularly achieving advocacy and communication objectives. Focus is on strengthening their capacity through appropriate advocacy and communication training, access to updated information, supplies and equipment and through experience-sharing.
Monitors implementation of communication activities for PEI and other relevant issues by reviewing progress and identifying constraints through review of monitoring reports field visits, consultation with government counterparts, partner, and community and UNICEF staff in Balochistan. Responsible for producing a monthly progress report which will be shared with the supervisor. Update the Provincial Polio Control room on progress and challenges for communication.
Support the section in review of the content of mass media promotion material, Information Education and Communication Material and technical presentations.
Plan and prepare for an emergency situation.

LANGUAGES
Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu.
Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.

01 Position (Islamabad based)


Qualifications & Experience:

The position requires Masters Degree in social sciences, MBA, or degree in other related discipline, with at least 03 years of experience in M&E and data management. Previous experience of working with an NGO/INGO is a must. Experience of working with a Global Fund grant will be a plus. Experience in public health programs and specifically TB control program is desired. Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent writing skills is required.  Must be proficient in computer especially advanced Excel, Word and Power point.



Responsibilities/Duties:

The person will be responsible for management of data of the PPM project supported by SSF grant of GF. S/he will maintain liaison with the sub-recipients regarding data recording and reporting, provide capacity building including on-site technical support to the SRs and conduct field monitoring visits. The person will be responsible for providing inputs into the development of an MIS for PPM and will be responsible for coordinating internally with the project team and MEL Unit, and externally with the sub-recipients to ensure that data is entered in a timely way, is validated, and quality and timely reports are generated through the system. The incumbent will support the field officers in reviewing the monthly work plans and reports and will provide feedback to the project team and sub recipients regarding the quality and accuracy of reported data.
